The Land of Twilight
After her parents’ divorce, Lorna is forced to move to Phoenix, Arizona. Shortly after moving into her new neighborhood, she finds herself in a bike race against Samuel Black, the only victor of the Crestwood Challenge. Lorna, an experienced mountain biker, gets more than she bargains for in this simple race around the block. As the sun begins to set, she is suddenly transported to the Land of Twilight through a cairn, an opening into another world. Here, Lorna meets Trix who will grant her one wish once she performs three tasks.
Although Lorna and Sam start out as competitors, they become fast friends when Sam accidentally visits the Land of Twilight with Lorna. Things get complicated when a horrible accident occurs after their return from Twilight.
Will Lorna be granted her wish? If so, will she use it to bring her parents back together? Lorna learns about true friendship on her quest to be granted a wish that could change her life forever.
Bio
Charmayne M. Hafen's love of Celtic mythology inspired her to write her debut novel, The Land of Twilight. She has written several short stories for children, teens and adults and is currently working on Indebted, a young adult fantasy novel. Charmayne has a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism and psychology and a Master of Arts degree in counseling. When she's not writing, she's running counseling groups for adults and a therapeutic photography group for teens. She lives in Lakewood, Colorado, with her husband, John, and her two chihuahuas, Pepe and Frida.
