How important is the cover of a book? Very! A cover is the first thing that catches a reader's eye, whether that cover is on a bookshelf at the bookstore or on a computer screen. Just for fun, do a search on the worst book covers. When you see some of these, you'll understand what we're talking about.

Just as bad as a bad cover is no cover at all. Coverless ebooks abound on the internet. There seems to be the thought that since it is online, it really doesn't need a cover. Wrong. A good ebook cover catches the eye and suggests the genre and tone of the novel. The good news is, like a traditional publisher, we will design the cover for you.

Collectively, we at Dead Key Publishing have more than 30 years' collective experience in graphic design, web design and illustration. We will take suggestions from you, if you have any, about what you think your cover should look like, and we will design it for you. Don't have any ideas? No problem. We are a creative bunch and will produce something you will love. Again, once you are a Dead Key-er, there is no charge for either concept art or design.
